Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME extension is the single TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered third-level domain names remained functional.

You will have the chance to update the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar company and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed.
